VOCAL INSTRUCTOR

Rachel’s students have been finalists on The Voice Ireland, won various music awards in the UK, garnered millions of plays on online platforms, joined professional musical theatre companies, and toured the US and Europe. They sing out loud in church, belt it out in the shower, and hold on to notes that bring them deep healing and relief.

She taught singing and performance at Queen's University Belfast for 4 years; holds a Grade 8 in Pop and Rock Vocals from Rockschool UK; taught at RHR Studios and Songbird Studios in San Francisco; led voice workshops at James Madison University, la Universidad Autonomo de Baja California (Mexico), South Eastern Regional College (Ireland), and Pratt Institute.

TEACHING VOICE AS THERAPY

Rachel has taken referrals for singers' vocal recovery from the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, and the Speech and Language Center, Virginia. She teaches voice as mode of emotional healing at the request of her students.

SOUND ART & EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC COMPOSITION

Rachel teaches improvisation, listening, musical concepts (including music theory), and a historic overview of experimental music. Building through embodied approaches to music, we can change how your hear sound and begin building your own scores together.
