Rachel’s voice and guitar soar through both upbeat songs and sentimental love melodies while Catherine Monnes brings the fire and romance to life on the cello. La Tramontane pulls from Spanish, Portuguese, and French repertoire, including the Gypsy Kings, Cesaria Evora, Melody Gardot, Caetano Veloso, and Manu Chao.

Rachel performed with a Latin American covers band around Ireland as well as performing with a flamenco-jazz fusion trio and studying Flamenco singing in New York with Alfonso Cid. Catharine has been honored to work with some sort of famous people, and many more secret special people, in a variety of genres. Current projects she's engaged with include Night Teacher, the Sally Rose Band, Recherche, and a Kurdish American Ensemble.
